Keep offering the food and give them more time. As you probably know, it takes 2-3 days before they shed and they usually don't eat before then. I find that it takes another amount of time, maybe even more than a week, before they eat noticeably. I get worried every time, but all of my 17 hatchlings are thriving and have figured it out on their own. Occasionally I will get a hatchling that seems to be growing very slowly and I worry that it isn't eating, so I'll hand feed it.
Hi,i've got one which refused to eat for nearly one month plus since her first shed.... i was so worried despite monitoring it every day by dropping mealies infront of her...still doesn't show any interests.
So by chance.....i cut the mealies head off hoping it could lick the guts for at least some nutrients...who knows next it snap the worm without thinking twice.....i think its the guts smell that aroused her interest, thanks(pardon my language)
here's what i did, i seperated my two, used no substrate, thre in a few mealies and left them in there over 2 days most were gone, from both, usually would only eat 1-2 every day or two but i never saw them hehe but i know they were eating, this trick recently worked for my SS as well who has a super missing from his tub .
