By your bosc/sav, tegu etc anything that can lock its jaws, get some normal vinegar, and drip some on your finger bodily part thats being bitten and they will let go.
As I found out earlier Ojo thought finger was a mousey.

I thought drinking alcohol was better to use than rubbing alcohol? I mean, you wouldn't put rubbing alcohol in a human mouth so why would it be any better for a reptile, at least drinking alcohol was formulated to be consumed.
Hope your gecko learns the difference between fingers and food. My friend's gecko keeps trying to bite her because it gets so excited at "cricket time" it lunges before looking.

haha a drunk gecko, either way I made the thread for if they get bitten by bosc etc because they can lock their jaws, so you won't be getting your finger back otherwise.

Oops, I just wrote gecko without thinking. But the "use drinking not rubbing alcohol", at least the way it was explained to me, was that its the taste that makes them let go and you don't want them to drink it however if they do ingest some you want to make sure its not something that could make them ill.

Hehehe... They're like little pit bulls, aren't they?
When Rock was about 5 months old, he locked on to my daughter's pinky finger, right across the nail, and almost took it clean off.
We have small spray bottles of Listerine around, just for such emergencies. Came in pretty handy!
I would have never thought about vinegar. Thats good to know!

Damn right there, he was tugging away, Kept saying no my finger is not a mouse and waving a mouse right by the side of his head in hope he would change his mind but no hooman fingers are much more of a delicacy apparently.
