I don't understand. I lost another gecko. Smiles is now missing. I checked the tub for gaps or holes and can not for the life of me figure out how the heck he managed to get out. The tup was closed tightly in the rack. I lost two hatchlings not to long ago and they have yet to turn up. I have looked everywhere. I have turned this house upside down and rightside up again and can't find a single one. Since I lost the first two I have closed off the back half of the house so the cats can't get back there. As much as I hate to do it I think I'm going to switch back to ten gallon tanks. Lossing the hatchlings broke my heart but smiles is one of my favorites. I got him from Jeremy not too long ago and had plans for him this comming season. I'm not giving up on finding him. I have a better chance of finding him then I do the hatchlings because he is big. I know I'll find him I just hope it's soon. Is it just me or is anyone else having these problems with there racks? I feel like such a bad gecko owner. :bigcry: I'm sorry Jeremy...I promise I'll find him!

aww brandy I'm sorry! I hope you find all of them! I haven't had any get out or get lost yet, but I use tanks. I do plan on going to racks once I start breeding though.

I'm sending finding gecko vibes your way!

Brandy, I do hope that you find him soon. Also, you have no need to apoligize to me. It happens to the best of us.

Smiles get your butt home, your mom is worried sick! :main_angry:

Thanks guys! I have set up a bunch of hides in the gecko room. I have a bunch of under tank heaters from when I used tanks. So I have some set up as humid hides, some dry, some hot, come cool. lol hopefully he will find one he likes and I can catch him!

Brandy, I'm sure you'll find all three of them. When I was in FL I had 4 hatchlings get out of the rack. One we found right away two 2 weeks later and the third one only days before my trip back home. The third one was missing for 3 weeks when we found him in the laundry room. You have got the right idea on setting out hides, I'm sure they will turn up soon.

You need to check near radiators and sources of heat. My GoGo escaped TWICE when he was out being given attention, and both times he appeared somewhere near heat, the 1st time near a radiator and the 2nd time under my computer.

Thanks everyone! When I woke up this morning the first thing I did was run to the gecko room and check all the hides and there he was under one of the dry hides with a heat pad. I lifted it up and the little brat ran under the rack system. I could see him but could not move the rack because it is pretty heavy and in 3 peices. So I turned the lights off, took a shower and then went to check again. He fell for it lol I caught his but this time! I'm so glad I caught him I left all the hides laying around in hopes it will work for the babies.

YAY!!! Brandy, I lost a little hatchling once and it turned up over a month later... my dog Star had it cornered in the bathroom behind the wastebasket. It had actually grown! (There IS a purpose for rogue crickets around the house, LOL!)

I hope Mine turn up too. It's been almost a month I think. I don't have many crickets loose (maybe I should let some loose LOL!) but My house is full of spiders, and for some reason recently centipedes. I hope they don't eat anything that could be harmfull.
