Im new and a quick question

I am curious
I am buying a leopard gecko tomorrow from a someone nearby who breeds them. My options are a Normal Leo for 15$ or a High yellow Designer for 50$ I already have the tank setup and I want to know since this is my first leo which should I choose.

It doesn't matter which you choose as your first leo,just pick which one you like better and buy him or her,Good Luck

Its just seeing all these beautiful morphs it makes me really just want to jump in and buy one but on the other hand I need to crawl before I walk..
I guess the normal is for me plus he is really cute

Pick whichever one trips your trigger. There is absolutely nothing wrong with a nice normal or a nice high yellow. If you find the normal really cute, then I say go for it. Good luck with whichever you choose.

This is very true. I knew nothing about leos when I got my first one back in Feb. When purchasing her I went with what caught my eye first. It was after reading the caresheet and getting what I needed that sparked my wanting to learn all I could about them, which brought me to GF. This place has a vast amount of info and many, many experienced owners. Ask any and all questions that might be on your mind and you'll get an answer.

It only took a week for me to go from my first leo to a second (thanks to my husband), and from there it was an addiction. lol. I went from an owner of one to an owner of 6, then branched off to include a african fat tail.

If you were thinking about buying the high yellow because it's a designer morph, I wouldn't bother. As far as I know they're pretty much as common as normals and don't usually cost any more. Like everyone else said, I would just buy the one that you like more, and if that happens to be the high yellow, go for it!
