I'm offering free graphic design

Hey everyone, Inorder to get some more design portfolio work together, I am offering my services for free. Ive been a government graphic designer for 5 years and a photograher for 10. I can't do websites, but I can do banners, logos, business cards, fliers, page backgrounds, and so on. I'm willing to do this for free if you allow me to use the final product as an example on my website.

How much of a challenge are you looking for?

If I give you the resolution of the banner I want made and then some vague concept of what I want the design to reflect are you up for it? Or are you looking for "here's five of my favorite photos, make something of it"

Either way, I'm game

I have been told by numerous people, not to offer my services for free. I now am going to offer a trade. What do you have to offer? I was trying to edit the post, but I can't find the edit button. Do you sell feeders? If you want to send me a box of superworms, than I will do all the design work you are requesting, minus the printing because I don't have access to such a large printer. For all of those who have sent me PM, i will get to you soon, I am very busy today(SATURDAY), and will reply tomorrow.

Steve, shoot me a PM with the concept and and photos you want used. I'm up for it. I usually make a few proofs and let the client pick and choose.

I'll pass... I just thought there were no bites so I'd offer to feature a banner on one of my pages or something to help you out.

Good luck though, it' can be tough working in more restrictive creative environments... I'm sure you are taking pleasure in the opportunity to branch out to new projects.

Ha, sounded more like you wanted a banner for yourself, not to help me out.....funny, when I ask for one small thing like a box of superworms, all bets are off.

You offered your services for free initially, then when someone takes you up on your offer you decide to change your terms? That's in very poor taste and by the way it's also against the TOS of this site for members to solicit business on the main boards. We have a classified section for that, which is free for our members to use. Try posting there next time. I generally do not delete threads, however I am closing this one.
