I'm so excited!

Just thought I'd share...always get weird looks from people around here when I mention my geckos

I get to come home for "easter break" tomorrow and see my leos! My sister has been doing the best she can to keep me updated, but there's nothing like being there and getting to hold the little guys again! I miss them so much. After break I'm bringing them back to school with me (sneakily of course...dorms frown upon animals that don't spend '90% of their life in water')

I'm also getting a new one Saturday thanks to Secret Easter Bunny

AND I'm gonna spend the whole weekend working on my girls' viv!

The next four days are going to be filled with gecko-y goodness!!

Aw that's great! It's so hard being away from your pets. I hated having to leave all of mine behind when I was in college, but I also didn't have a choice (and had too many to bring them all into the dorm anyway).

The dorm rule was that we could have anything that "lived under water"... so a few people, including myself, tried to (somewhat jokingly) get around the rule by placing a glass of water on top of a cage housing a terrestrial animal so it was UNDER water. I managed to keep a couple rats in my dorm for a little while, but when the RA found out about them, the glass of water trick still didn't keep my rats from getting evicted.

Hah, yeah. The guys on the floor above us keep gerbils and haven't gotten "caught" all year. Add that to the fact that my CA never comes in my room and my RA doesn't even live in this wing, I think I'm pretty safe. Just a month left of school, anyhow.

Next year I'm getting an apartment and I can keep all of my leos with me! THAT is some exciting stuff.

My roommate's cool with me bringing them, but I don't think she's quite realized that I'll be bringing my mealworm, pill bug, and roach colony with me as well lol.

Hmmm, yeah I can see the roommate being ok with the geckos but probably not the roaches lol.

I couldn't imagine being away from my pets. I would miss them too much!

I miss them like crazy! And I just saw them three weeks ago.. I'll be so glad to have them here with me
