BTW, just wanted to post an update because I just heard about this last night..
Well firstly, Belinda and I have FINALLY come to terms with each other and decided that we were both hurting each other just as much, and that it wasn't worth taking to court. I COULD totally prosecute her for a few different things, but I really didn't want to take things that far, because it's just so time consuming and I don't really need this shit.. so I attempted to work things out with her, as adults, and we have made positive progress. I wish we could have done this a long time ago, and both of us are to blame for being childish, although she did take things a lot further and stooped to levels I wouldn't ever imagine.. but that's neither here nor there.
The point is, we are resolving our issues without having to go to court and waste tons of our time.
We heard from her last night, though, and apparrently she was in the hospital for a few days. She has always talked about how she does cat rescue; she is highly knowledgable about spaying and neutering in particular. Anyway, apparently she was taking care of a cat she found, in her own home. While she was sleeping, the cat attacked her face, giving her 15 stitches, and also apparently mangled her hand/arm pretty bad as well. I guess she has some kind of infection too, I am not really sure on the details.
Now I'm not one to wish horrible things on anyone; but to me, this sounds like karma came and bit her in the ass. On the one hand, I do feel bad for her; but on the other, I don't. I do hope that she recovers quickly, and I hope things turn out okay for her.. I guess that's the "softy" in me, I don't know.
