The thing that really annoys me is when people say 'it needs washed' or similar (noun, conjugated verb, unconjugated verb with no 'to' in front). Drives me batty! Seems to be a regional thing, thank goodness. I didn't think I would survive Pennsylvania.

PS- Firefox spellchecker definitely saves me all the time.

It doesn't do much for me since it always tells me I'm spelling "Neighbor", "color" and various other words wrong.
I understand that some words have been "Americanized" and some words are still spelled the British way, but I happen to try and use the Americanized spelling since that's how I learned how to spell them.

I think you can set Firefox to have a British dictionary... yeah, it's in the "Content" tab of the preferences.

I just type what im thinking, if its spelled wrong or it comes out imperfect english then sorry, If you cant stand it read someone elses threads, I work 2 jobs 7 days a week, and take care of over a hundred dif. animals, I dont have time for proof reading!

I tried bringing up this issue too. I'm glad to see so many people responded. I also had to bring up this issue: do abbreviations like "lol" or "lmoa" bother you? I suppose some of them are o.k. in chat rooms, but not on forums and in real life.

One thing I see all the time that I can't resist mocking is when people type "bread" instead of "bred" or "breed".

Ex; Should I bread my bearded dragons?

I don't know about you, but I think breading the dragons would be bad for them.

and the rampant overuse of apostrophes... come on.. you don't use them to make things plural... got it>>???? plural, add an 's' or 'es' NO APOSTROPHE!!!!

and unique to animal boards.. scientific nomenclature...

the species name is NEVER capitalized. ONLY genus.

I don't like when people use the word "mines", they have to add an "s" just to say "mines" example: "Give it back it's mines!" thats when I think I have the best gamer p) so thats mines rant (it doesn't even make sense!!!!!)
