Im thinking of putting some Drift Wood in.

Hi all,

I have a peice of Drift Wood that I found down in Hillspring. I was thinking i could put put it in my leopard geckos cage. would I have to clean it then bake it? What do i have to do before I can put it in my leopard geckos cage?

Bake it. That should clean it up perfectly.

There is really no need to bake it... There is nothing living in drift wood that will harm your leo... All you need to do is give it a quick wash with a light soap and let it dry...

I have a couple pieces in mine, but I combined some methods. I cleaned/disinfected the wood by bleaching it (this also gives the wood a nice blond colour to it). I then baked it for 20 min at 400 degrees just to be on the safe side.
