IMPACTED!?

I was giving my leo his usual evening warm water dip ad i had to clean his anus again. this time a bug piece came out and after i put him back in his tank i fealt to see of there was sand in his poop (everyting he poops is white) and there was SAND in it!! i have never had him on sand so it had to have been from the pet store! he is just a baby, about as long as my index finger. will the water dips and him licking the water drops continue to help? is there anything else i should do?

Is he pooping on his own in his tank as well as when you soak him?

It is a good sign that he is passing the sand

How is his appetite?

If the soaks encourage/stimulate him to pass the sand then I would continue then for a few more days

Hopefully it will have all passed through his system by then

How long have you had him/has he been off the Pet Store sand?

If he stops eating or becomes lethargic-I would suggest that you take him into a vet asap

Also-the all white poop might be because the sand that he was on was white?

If he does not start gaining weight and his poop does not become more normal looking-white urate and dark colored fecal matter-then i would also suggest a vet trip for a fecal exam
