Hi my poor girl lost her tail a few weeks ago and since then hasn't used the bathroom. Her stomach is extremely black. Here is a pic can anyone tell me why it's so black? She eats crickets and is on paper towels. The past week I have been feeding her the gecko soup since she stopped eating about 3 weeks ago.

Oh my god, get her to a vet asap.....that obviously isn't natural. She is so skinny too, that poor poor gecko.

OMG, That is beyond impaction. That looks like swelling and internal bleeding. Do you have a pet emergency hospital around? If so I would take her in like right now!

Ty for the fast responses. She has been eating the gecko soup very happily she is also very bloated. Her stomach is like a balloon. And there are no emergency vets available around. My question would be how would impacting occur here? She has been on lapsed towels since the day she hatched and was growing great sitting at 18 grams until she dropped her tail.

The odds are against her right now to be honest unless there is medical intervention. There is no way to know unless tests are done. When a gecko won't eat they should be taken to the vet first to find out why. Could she had swallowed paper towel? It has occured to a few people or maybe when she dropped her tail a blot clot formed. There is way too many possibilities. Her bowels could have perforated.
