Important question??

Hey everyone!! its been a long time since ive talked to anyone here! haha. but my question is that i want to start breeding leopard geckos! im going to be buying 2 babies since i want to raise the 2 before i breed them, but my question is, since they are babies, how i can i make sure im getting a male and a female and not 2 of the same sex??

Buy from a reputable breeder. They usually temp sex them so you're getting a pretty good idea of what gender it is

Get them as slightly older juvies so you can be more sure of the sex.

we only have one breeder around here thats local and my mom wont let me buy reptiles online so thats my only problem..

Is there any way you could get to a show, which would give you more breeder options, without the online purchase?

Ten seconds on Google got me this show, coming up in September. Any chance you're close enough to go?

must be the cold blooded expo, its a 2 and half hour drive for me and i just went to the one in april and bought an iguana.. haha. my moms bringing me tonight to the breeder so i guess i just have to get lucky.. i have 1 female gecko now who is about 2 and some months old so as long as i get a male i should be good.

If you're planning on breeding them be sure to get their genetic background as well as that of their parents. If you plan on selling the babies people will want to know about what they're buying from you and you'll have an easier time figuring out what morphs you'll get.
