i think that grouping anti-war protesters with the Westboro Baptist Church is a pretty arrogant.

Anti war protesters aren't protesting the soldiers, but the war that is causing them to die and allows this video to be possible.

That video has many good points. Nobody will ever know what war is like unless they experience it themselves.

And I have to say those “Thank god for dead soldiers” shirts make me want to throw up. How can you be that disrespectful to somebody who is willing to die for you, somebody who sacrifices that much?

I could ABSOLUTELY say the same thing. These people are fighting for your own freakin' freedom! You repay them for giving you that freedom and dying from it by wearing these shirts and stuff that say you are GLAD they died?!?!?!? That makes me sick!!!!!!!! If I saw someone wearing that I would have SOOOOOOOOOO much to say!!!!!!!!!!!

that is the Westboro Baptist Church

A Religious Sect who protests soldiers funerals. They are not Anti war protesters. They feel that the war is a gift from god to teach America a lesson for allowing homosexuality and other things they deem "sins".:main_thumbsdown:

even though one of their members had a child out of wedlock, which according to the bible is a sin. just sayin.

they suck.'

but please realize the vast difference between someone who believes this and someone who doesn't want soldiers to have to die for an unjust war...it is completely different.

I believe I have heard of them, but I just have to say I wouldn’t mind ripping any of them a new one.

Your welcome. And to all u guys with friends/family overseas, I give you my thoughts and prayers that they will come home. Hey, I have a cuzin overseas. I am not sure where he is though...He has a fiance at home with a 2 1/2 yr old daughter. She is darn cute! She looks like a tiny copy of her mother, with the same attitude and everything :p. I belive my cuzin either has come home or is due home soon. I'm not sure, but I think he is still overseas.

That video is pretty hard to watch. For all of you with friends and family over there, I'm here with you. I recieved an email last week from my cousin. She's just 2 years older than myself and has been overseas for several months now. While on a patrol, her truck tripped a mine. The mine activated underneath of the truck directly behind hers.

There were minor injuries, but no causalities thankfully.

Ive actually seen somthing like this video but this one is much more compelling. Its very difficult to watch and for the protesters maybe they should take a nice little tour over to Iraq see what they think then.

Now that I have been thinking about it a little, I sort-of have 2 sides of the story. I appreciate the soldiers because of all the things they do for us and are willing to fight and give up their lives for us, but also, I can understand why people hate the war. If you think about it, people are dying, and the war has been going on for many, many years. Cant the president and whoever runs Iraq talk things over and work it out? I can understand how some people have come to think that this is a pointless battle. I'm not saying I think it is, because I don't, but all I'm saying is I can understand how they have come to think that.

I think is war is a far more complicated matter than some are able to grasp. I also think that it is a possibility that some information is being with held for public safety. But we CANNOT just pull out. All the people that those soldiers are dying to protect, and all the hard work we have put into this would just be ruined. To me that is just telling the soldiers that did die, and there families, thanks for nothing. I believe at this point we are trying to help them establish a government, as well as helping them establish a more stable way of being. If personally fell that we need to stay over there as long as needed to solve the problems. I know there aren’t weapons of mass destruction over there as we original believe, but the fact is that there are other problem over there now. I do believe that the military shouldn’t be the main tool used to have control over there, but they are needed. I think other things should be put in place; just doing it with the military is like trying to do open heart surgery with a chain saw, they simply are not the right tool.

I don’t know how much sense I just made, but I think some will get my points.
