How many is too many?? I went from having 1 for five years to having 42 (all aquired within the last 12 months- my 6th year) and my parents freak out everytime I get another. I take care of them, but they dont seem to understand with recessive genes and the goals I have for breeding groups.. the need to get more.
So I dont know how to post a poll on here but.... in your opinion...

how many is too many???

Wow 42! Awesome. But where do you keep all those guys? No way you could fit them all in a single tank. What's your setup? Do you just keep most of them in plastic bins? Of the 42 how many are males and how many are females? Do you just bunch the females together?

Anyway as for your question, as long as you can properly care for all of them and have adequate space for them, then go for as many as you want.

Geckos rule!:D

I know your pain. I went from 4 that my daughter wanted to 39. With hopes for another dozen by years end. Trying to get the genes right and having a large enough colony to produce some kind of volume is the issue I have. I've bought alot of juvies in the past several months and I want to get them ready to breed next year. I'm currently pounding them with almost $150.00 bucks a month in bugs...I once realized my current usage rate I'm sending almost 36,000 crickets and 15,000 mealworms a year to meet their maker...Yikes and to think I bring them INTO my house.....

As long as you take care of them, then I say the number is just fine.:) I know we'd have even more if we had the room for them.

I only have six and my mom freaks everytime she sees another tank getting set up. lol. If I had the proper space and time, I would def. have more. So as long as you can, then I say go for it!

I think as long as you have the space, time and money to properly care for them then have as many as you want! We only have 3 but have 10 other reptiles and 7 mammals (10 counting the kids and dh) but I want to get a couple more at a show this fall. :)
