hi, i have a quick question do i really need an incubator straight away, i am getting 3 females and one male in view to starting a breeding prgrame but as you all know it takes a lot of money to set up. i know i may need one in the future but ican i breed in the viv to start with?:main_huh:
You may get some hatchings that way, but they may well get eaten. On the other hand, you could look into doing a homemade incubator of some sort. The heating pad I keep my cricket colony on is a perfect 83 degrees, and I am just incubating eggs in deli cups right on the pad.
You can technically incubate eggs in a dark heated place in your house/apartment, as long as the temp stays warm anough and relatively constant. All you need is the containers and the incubation substrate and you're good to go
