So I bought a little giant still air incubator from fleet farm. I went home to set it up. I put a tuperware container with 1:1 vermiculite/water ratio. seems to be perfect formula for eggs.

I put the container with another container half filled with water right next to the verm container in the incubator. I have it set at 81-82 degrees. with 93% humidity.

Here's a pic

Question is the humidity too high?

humidity is fine. For leopard geckos 100% humidity is perfectly acceptable as long as the eggs aren't sitting in a wet mess. Make sure you use a thermostat; little giants/hovabators are great small scale incubators(I would say they're the best on the market for smaller size and price range) but use of a thermostat is very advisable with them as they do not lower temperature, only maintain electrical flow.

All I have is a dimmer switch which seems to work just fine for now. I also use a dimmer switch for my breeder rack. Keeps temps 91-94. So far I haven't seen the incubator fluctuate no more then 2 +/- degrees. I have been looking into thermostats though. Recommend any good kind that doesn't break the bank?

I don't trust dimmer switches. Especially on an incubator. When room temps change they do nothing to maintain temps.

I personally prefer Ranco or Johnson's thermostats. At around $80 they are quite well priced for the quality. If that is outside of your price range I have heard good things the Big Apple Herp thermostat which is around $40, though I personally have never used one so I can't say from personal experience on those.
