This is a first appearance review. I will follow up in 90 and 180 days for function review. I just got my exo-terra incubator. All seals are perfect. It has two shelves with four height settings. All digital. Heats and cools. Doubles as a terrarium. Has a water tray for perfect humidity. Vents when humidity is too much. Carry handle is a lot more durable than former models. I was shocked to see a car adapter for all of you that go to expos. The incubator temp adjusts from 20-140 degrees F. It can also act as a fridge. Silent fans with a mute switch. Not too big or heavy. Clamps shut.
There you go. I can't wait to try it.

Looks nice would like to see how constant it keeps the temp. Anything is probably better then my hovabator.

I have been using a MR-148 for two seasons and it is going strong. All of these mini fridge incs are all the same just a different name on them. My brothers died within 6 months and he lost about 36 eggs due to it failing. As mentioned before the outside reading is way off and I also use a bag of water to help stabilize my temps inside. Once its all rigged up and dialed in it holds good temps for males but I found a lot more fluctuation on lower temps for females. With all this being said I must say that I have Nature Spirit incubators as well and those are well worth it. I love it! Holds temps great and doesn't have a thermal gradient like some of the other bigger incubators. I also recently built my own from a broken freezer and it works perfectly fine as well...just depends on how frequently you need to open the doors on an incubator with such a huge door.

Sorry for going off topic...I think all these mini fridge incubators are good as long as you get a good one lol...if that makes sense. Just give it a 2-3 month test drive to make sure it will last your season.

I also use 2 LLL MR-148 incubators and they have worked great all year for me. Other than the temp not being anywhere near what it says it is, it holds the temps perfectly for males and females. Just make sure you have a digital probe thermometer for inside.

Christina-

If you use the G.E.O. you can get plenty of eggs in there. You can hold 6 G.E.O.'s on the shelf....9 if you want it to go up to the top, but I only put up to 6 containers. So...48 eggs. You have to remember, the temperature on the shelf will be different than the temperature on the bottom of the unit by about 3 degrees. If you want to incubate some at 80-82, use the bottom, and you can incubate some at 84-85 up top......so you could get 96 eggs if you had to. You'll never need that many though, as they'll be hatching faster than you can get them laid....unless your gonna go Steve Sykes on us! LOL!

PM me and I'll tell you exactly what I did with the two I have if you want.
