Incubator Troubles

My incubators turned off last night. (I have them plugged into a power strip, and the on/off button was hit, and it turned it off) The female cooker went down to 71. And the male went down to 74. The female cooker is generally at about 83, and the male is at 88. I think that these eggs will go bad, which is a bummer, since some where about to hatch. But has anybody ever had anything like this happen before. I have heard of cookers getting up to 102 for an hour or so, and the eggs still hatchling. I think that the temperature decline was steady, through out the night, as the room temp is around 68, so I guess my question is. Do you think that they will be okay? I’ll cook them until they rot, but it would be great if anybody could reassure me that they will hatch, as that would just help me get rid of some of this stress. And oh yeah, they are now plugged back in. I think it happened around 9:00 pm, last night, and I turned them on about 11:45.

Well bad news. All the eggs in the male cooker fell like sponges. I was really hoping to get more hatchlings from my enigma female. 6 of her eggs just went bad. Well they kidda fell half way in between what a good eggs, fells, like and what a bad egg fells like. Are these normally bad?

Yeah, I won’t throw them out until they mold. I'm a little PO at myself that I just killed those unborn gecko though. It was just a stupid mistake.

You might put a warm damp paper towel on top of them very gently. I have some that caved in, but plumped back up and are now doing fine.

So do you think that some how they lost moister, when the temp went down? Almost like the water didn't evaporate and the humidity isn't as high?

I guess at least all the eggs in the female cooker seem to be okay.

It's definitely worth a try, and perhaps they did dry out due to the lack of humidity. I wish you the best of luck with them!!!!

Yup, today one of the eggs, black out, the light couldn't even shine through it (The flash light is like 165 lumens as well) I really hope one of those eggs is an enigma. I REALLY want to hatch a mack enigma. I just think they look amazing.
