I've had males and females both of Indian Ringnecks and Moustache Parakeets. The females generally are not as good of talkers as the males, but they certainly like to make noise. They are not shrieky like conures or anything, but they chatter pretty constantly. My boys liked to talk all the time (practically non stop lol), but part of the time it was somewhat quietly to themselves or the other birds. The girls could say a few things, but focused more on making their favorite sounds. Nina would giggle constantly, and wolf whistle. A male I had named Jimmy would ask everyone "Are you a pretty bird?" And if you didn't answer after a second, he would say, "huh?!" He would ask Nina this all the time, and she would reply with her favorite phrase, "Pretty girl, Ninie, pretty girl." It was very cute! They're fun birds. I had to rehome mine to a friend, unfortunately, as I found out after numerous sinus infections and being sick all the time that I am extremely allergic. :( I miss their chatter.
