Hi,
I have a 10 year old male leopard gecko who has had some kind of infection or swelling at the base of his tail (just after the vent) for three weeks. I have been to the vet 3 times and i am going again soon. He has treated it as an infection and some swelling did go down but there is still a small lump that is not going away. He is no longer eating i have been trying to hand feed him over last two weeks i have also been giving him water and bathing him. The vet said it is not looking good and he cant do anything other than give vitamin injections and anitbiotics. The next step is him being put to sleep or going to a specialist but i dont think we can afford that aswell as the age of the lizard i dont know if he make it.
This problem is very similar to another thread posted i have tried to get the lump out as he did but it wont
If you have time to reply could you tell me what you think the problem may be and what i should do.
Thankyou
Hayley
