I don't want to pull her out of her hide since it's the afternoon here and she's sleeping but I'll take a photo of her tail progress when I clean her tank tonight. If you watch this video her tail looks similar to the slides for day 23: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KXbV3x4PgXc
I would recommend bringing him to the vet so they can assess the damage just to be safe. With Isabela the injury didn't go very far up her tail, and my vet hoped that she would drop just that bit on her own so he didn't amputate, but I think the pain and stress caused her to drop the whole thing. He gave me an oral antibiotic as well as an oral pain med and an antibiotic cream, and although the administration of those clearly stressed her I think it was important to avoid infection. I stopped her meds about a week and a half ago and she's started to get comfortable enough with me to lick my hand when I put it in her tank, and explore while I'm in the room with her. She's eating a few worms a week although her appetite clearly isn't fully back yet, since after the first worm I drop at her hide she turns her nose up at the rest.
My main remaining concern is weight loss but she's been eating 1 or 2 waxworms or mealworms when I put them in with her daily so I'm hoping she'll get her full appetite back soon. I only got her a month ago and her injury was 3 weeks ago. Her tail looks healthy and on the mend. Hope your little guy will be okay too.
