My friends leopard gecko has something on its lip. Its swollen and I don't know if its infected. What can I do to help her?

yeah a picture is needed.... An array of things are possible.... could be an infection, shedding problem (unlikely area), mouth rot, mbd, or a few other things. Is the gecko housed alone or with others?
