An interesting breeding outcome that came from our Super Snow Patternless Rainwater project this year. To our surprise, all offsprings from this pairing grew up showing numerous small speckles over the entire body. We are not sure where the speckled trait comes from, but they are cool looking being how they are now. Here are some photos of them :)

Last but not least, a group of them.

What do you think?;)

Het Patty will often produce high speckled Macks. To some, the ability to change the phenotype of an animal and be called "het" is just wrong and would then make Murphy Patty an incomplete dominant morph. However, all of us reptile people think we are geneticists and no one is willing to confront the masses and say its all wrong and every time I do I get a bunch of emails and PM's saying I am wrong and because I don't have a book out I can't know anything. cough* Galaxy cough*. Either way I LOVE speckled snows and think if you work bold into those high speckles you would have some insane looking snows.

When a gecko is either het murphy patternless or het blizzard it can have a speckled look to it. However, not every het murphy and het blizzard is highly speckled. I dont think you can consider it an incomplete dominant because it is not uniform throughout all het murphys and het blizzards. There must be some "characteristic" within that blood line of murphy or blizzard that produces the speckled look when there is only 1 copy.

BTW love them!!! Really nice group you have there. <3

I agree and disagree with you Michelle. We can start a thread just to hear it out...either way I end up debating things and enjoy hearing others opinions as I am always open to an educated debate/discussion not involving hear say or something heard or read.
