Internal bleeding

I had a Leo die last week and I've been talking to Steve sykes and we both think it was from internal bleeding but I don't know what from do you guys know anything that can cause internal bleeding

I would guess that if the gecko swallowed something sharp, like a piece of substrate or anything else that may have gotten into the enclosure it could have caused tearing and bleeding. If there was no culprit, I'm not sure what it could have been.

I had a girl in breeding season have her tummy go quickly and completely dark. I spoke to a couple vets and showed them pics and they believe she probably ruptured an ovary or something else connected to her reproductive system. She's still alive and kicking but it did put her off food for a few months. Thankfully she bounced back and is now retired from breeding but she's one of my hungriest, feistiest and fattest leos...haha. Sorry to hear about your girl.

I suppose something also could have happened during shipping?

She died 2 months after being shipped do you think she could have lasted that long with that type of injury
