I have coconut fiber back from my hermit crabs but my crested gecko cage has a floor you can take on and off and so there is a tiny crevasse between the cage floor and the bottom of the cage meaning if i put coconut fiber in there it would make my room dirty. So is it ok to just put an eco carpet in there? I had the eco carpet for my chameleon and his cage put that then meant the plant i put in there took up a lot of room because of their pots. so basically id rather have just coconut fiber but i think the eco carpet is the way to go.

Since the gecko will spend very little time on the bottom of the cage, eco carpet is fine. Just keep an eye on it getting moldy with all the misting.

Isopods will not be able to survive on the eco carpet they need a damp substrate that is nutritious (so organic potting soil)
