Is Brumation Preventable?

Just like last year at this exact same time my gecko hasn't come out of his cool hide for the past three weeks. Last year he came out of his hide in January after being in there for about 3-4 months. If he is brumating is it preventable? Or is it a seasonal thing that will happen regardless of temperature and other condtions?

Just let him live his natural biorhythm. Messing with it can come with serious consequences.

Buy him some hornworms and I bet he comes running out his hide.

Do they really brumate? I heard leos do not in captivity. I heard they only stop eating because it get cold and dry, not that they're brumating.
