is eucalyptus wood safe?

I have a very large (large) piece of a tree that we grew and an ice storm took down. It's been cut for probably 4 years. I am planning a large vertical viv for either an arboreal gecko or anole. Can I use it in there?

I'd look on poisonous plant lists. If it's not on there, or it only says that the leaves are poisonous to animals, for example, then I don't think bark would be an issue.

Just bake it to make sure no bugs are living in there and you should be good to go.

eucalyptus is pretty aromatic last I checked. It's oil is used in medicateed chest rubs....

I say don't use it just because of that

Leaves, bark.

Sorry :/ It's a shame to have a big chunk of wood you can't use.
