Is he going to hurt himself??

The gecko I adopted is now named Delta

Anyway, he is acting really weird. I got him new hides since he only had one half log hide (and it smelled even after cleaning so it got pitched).

Anyway, what he'll do is he'll stand on top of his hide with his feet against the glass...then just fall backwards onto his back. He'll then get up and do it again. He isn't slipping off or losing his balance...just falling backwards

I was able to clean and de-smell (if that's a word lol) one of the plants and a climbing branch from the tank he came in, so those are in his new tank. He'll climb into the tree thing and hang out there. I have never seen him fall out of it. It's only the hides he falls off

I'll try to get a video of him doing it and post it so you can see for yourself. It's actually kind of funny (after the initial OMG)

I included a pic so you can get the general idea of how tall the hides are. The hides are the black in the left corner and the brown in the far right corner:

LOL, geckos do strange things, my one likes to get ontop his hide and leap out of the top of the rubbermaid. I doubt its high enough to hurt him.

Correct me if am wrong because I really don't know if you were the person. But, didn't you just sell one of your geckos because you couldn't afford it?

Um...no. I was having family issues and was going to have to give this one up for adoption; but those problems are resolved now and I no longer need to rehome him

What does that have to do with this situation, anyway?
