Okay first of all,
I took a look at my female Bells belly today and found something looking like eggs(for me as a noob).
The story is, that I have 2 female Bells and a MShB which should be female in that tank. I thought she is female and everyone else says this too.
But when I recognized the Bells belly I wonder if it can be that she´s not female....

okay here is the female/male what ever:

And this are 2 pics of the female Bell, one without markings and the other shows what I thought could be eggs:

I hope that I´m wrong as the females should meet a MSB next early year.....

Thanks for looking and maybe helping!!!!
bye

you don't think she is ovulating? :O
LOL

I need to read closer. I saw the markings on the picture and thought "gravid" not ovulating. I missed that in Paul's post. :main_lipsrsealed: It does appear as though that might be a swollen ovary at the base of the arrow in the third picture (but it's easier to see in the second picture).

Good catch, Robin :main_robin:

When the first pic is a female it can only be that the last 2 pics show off an ovulating but not gravid female as she never saw a male.
If she´s ovulating thats good for me her male is on the way^^ if not it´s okay for me too than he hast to wait for her to ovulate^^

i understand your male is on his way however you need to remember to quarantine no matter who you got him from.
so you may want to hold off introducing them for a while :)

Ohh he is still not old enought for her^^
He will need a bit to be old enought to be introduced to her so I think around end of january or mid February or so. At least enought time to visit the vet and send in a fecal probe.

So how of you is thinking she is ovulating????
2:1 now or am I wrong?

scarring on my retina and two corneal transplants to replace my ketatoconus diseased ones. i have been legally blind since birth but i manage to get by ok :D

good to see someone else with poor vision out there participating around here as well

i can see though how you would say no. if there was better lighting on the belly it would be easier to see :D with time you learn to notice it right off the bat *hug*

Sweet I was right too. Im sure my words were mixed up so I am kinda wrong still. Gravid is having eggs and ovulating in making eggs right? (As he looks for gravid is his old high school sex ed book)

even though she hasnt been introduced to any males, females can and will ovulate and even lay infertile eggs.

i don't know about the 2:1? <--- did i miss something?

legally blind in one eye from birth and glocoma at 18. I wouldn't wish the loss of sight on anyone.

I still can't see it though, but I am learning more daily:main_thumbsup:
