sorry for not posting the past few days.her tail is getting tinner. i fed her 1 cricket(never dust calcium) just now and she eat it. tried to feed her 1 that was covered with calcium + vit she refuse to eat and walked away over and over. could it be the calcium and vit that cause her not eat?( i tried feed mealworm without calcium. she still didnt eat it.) will give her second dose of penacur tomorrow.
.here are some updates and question(last two pic)
her poop 3day ago
her poop today(brown only if i manage to get a drop of liquid food in her)
Is this her sheded skin??
did she eat it then throw it up or is this how its suppose to look?
Why hasn't she eaten it?(i didnt remove)(no skin seems to be stuck in her toes)
She poop/vomit her skin??
It looks like her poop could be improving.. Keep doing the slurry and feeding what she will eat. If she will eat it without calcium, than that's fine. She will survive a short time without calcium dusting.
That is her shed skin. She might not be feeling well and didn't want to eat it. It doesn't look regurgitated to me. I have a gecko that chooses not to eat his shed skin sometimes.
its greenish yellow, very wet (soak 4 sheets or party napkins) and very smelly. it could be she had too much water? (sprayed humid hide with water. saw her licking). or something else?
Honestly, I'm not sure.. It could be the stress of being treated, it could be due to the medication itself, it could be due to parasites, or it could be the slurry. These things are all very hard to determine without a vet. I know you can't get to one, which makes this pretty complicated.
The first dose of panacur was given on 2-25, so give her the second on the 8th. Make sure to do the dilution and give her the right amount this time. I don't know if she actually has parasites, or if the parasites are treatable with panacur.
Make sure your temperatures are spot on, maybe raise your hot stop a degree or two for better digestion.
Temp is 90 in hot hide (she doesn't use) cool hide is 77 at night and 80 in the day. Will do as advised. Its the best I can do. Will try feeding crickets instead lf slurry since she had one.
just got home and saw 2 poop. one watery and the other almost solid. it smelled really bad ans there were tiny ants around it. immediatly took her out, alcohol wipe her tank and hide and cange the paper towel. took this chance to weight her. she is 20.1g. last week 22.7g. she lost 2.6gm in 1 week.
If one was almost solid, than that is a good sign.
Just keep doing what you're doing. Keep trying to get slurry in her. It is very high calorie and will go much farther than crickets. You can try waxworms, too, just to get her some calories.
there has been no change in her poop.if anything it looks worse.
this moring(after eating 2 mealworm)
i haven't gave her 3rd dose of the med. just going to watch her. her tail is now pencil thin.
I'm sorry. I'm not sure the treatment is working. It's possible she contracted crypto from a cricket, which is fatal, or a type of parasite you can't treat with panacur. If two doses of panacur did not show improvement, I don't think there would be a lot of point to giving her any more.
I'm honestly not sure there is much you can do without the help of a vet.
I feel hopeless. .... if she's really ill can cant be saved.... people should not keeps pets if they cant save them. Illegal or other wise....poor girl....
been more then a month. she is back to eating 8 meal worms daily and gain weight. 30.4 grams from 16 grams. she is shedding the skin twice a week with no vomiting and normal poop.
I need to ask, there are black marks under her belly. is it normal? there is a black spot on her left aswell.(third pic. not very clear, sorry)
but all in all she seems to be doing better. god bless.
