Is my Leopard Gecko Gravid?

Hey guys, So I've had my male leopard gecko for about a year now, and I just picked up a female to breed with him. I set her in his tank, he vibrated his tail, started the nibbling.. you know the story. They mated atleast 3 times last night and I was checking her out today and I thought I saw some eggs or something already. I know its not possible that my male got her pregnant that fast so I'm thinking that the female mated at the pet store I got her from? I'm not sure if they housed her with other Leo's or not. I'm not even sure If they even are eggs, this is my first time breeding Leo's.

Here is a pic...

Yes, she looks gravid and it appears she may be laying eggs VERY soon :)

So is it safe to say that I will have baby leo's runnin around soon? or should I not expect anything from them since these are her first egg?

Will I be able to tell if they are eggs she produced without a male breeding to her?

The eggs would need to be incubated for some time before they would hatch (depending on the temperature, they can take anywhere from 35-75 days).

If you are prepared for baby geckos, I would make sure everything is ready to incubate before they are laid (along with proper egg-laying boxes). First eggs won't necessarily be infertile, we've had many females with fertile eggs their first time.

If she was NOT with a male, the eggs WILL be duds. If she was with a male, the only way to tell if she produced eggs from the male is if they are fertile.

Alrite kool, so how long after she lays, should I have her breeding again? And since she is gravid should I remove her from my male and put her into her own bin?

She doesn't necessarily need to breed again, she could breed one time and lay several clutches of eggs for the season. I would separate the two so the male doesn't stress her out when she wants to lay.

I also recommend reading over care sheets with breeding information to learn all that you can. Many websites have them, including ours :)
