Is she really an Emerine?

Well, this post is actually two questions, but I'll start with the main question since it's under morphs and genetics. After lots of looking around the net and forums here about emerines, I'm really wondering, is my girl an Emerine? Like a true emerine. I know we bought her from your gecko guy and at the time, she was our first ever purchase from a breeder. The site just stated her as a female Emerine, and that was it. I knew nothing of Emerines. Now looking around, all the Emerine images I turn up look absolutely nothing like my girl. Maybe I'm just being crazy, but it really has me curious.

I just need to know for absolute certain for some future project ideas my wife and I came up with. I know I should trust what he said and he never gave me any reason to doubt him as he is a very good person and reputable seller, at least from my experience.

Other question, which is kind of off topic, but is there a reason her tail has never fattened up in the whole last year I've had her? Her tail was even small like that when we first got her and it hasn't changed one bit. no matter how much or what she eats, she just never changes. Neither lose weight or add some. Is it possible it could just be her body type, like how humans all come in different shapes and sizes? She's the only one of all my females that has been like this and has driven me nuts forever now. I always thought the general rule of thumb was the base of the tail should be as wide as their neck, but it seems a bit under that. She's always maintained about a 43-45 gram weight, and we have even bred her successfully with no complications at all in the past. :main_huh:

I know there seems to be a lot of people up in the air about emerines after a lot of the threads I've looked over and scouring the net. Just thought to try and get some help from the pros here. ;)

I believe to be called a true emerine you need proof its from the emerine line.
If you NEED to know for certain before you breed it, I'm afraid you may need to think of projects without this gecko in it.
Her tail looks okay to me, some geckos gain weight differently. I have 2 sisters that weigh roughly the same, but one has a larger tail, and one is larger bodied.

Thanks Katie. Much appreciated for the input. So if you were to look at her, what guess would you make of her morph? I mean, she's turned out some really nice babies, and some of our really nice banded Raptors in the past have come from her, but I'm just struggling trying to pinpoint her exact morph. We've had some ideas of trying to pair her with something along the line of a sunglow. I've tried contacting the guy I bought her from but anymore, I don't know if he's even still in business as his site hasn't had anything for sale for about a year and trying to call him just gets me voice mails most of the time. That was why I was hoping I could get it sorted out here.
