Is there a regurge protocol?

I've had Willow for close to 2 years. When I first purchased him from the pet store he was very skinny, pale colors, a sore on his nose, and black toes. But he was too cute I had to have him. I was pretty sure he wasn't sick, and just needed a better environment. Anyways, 3-4 months in my care he plumped up, maybe a little too much. His Colors got super bright and he looked so much better!

Winter of 2011 kicked in and his feeding slowed down (I figured due to the temp change). Spring set in and it seemed to slow down more to where he stopped eating crickets and mealworms. He dropped his chubby weight but his tail stayed fat.

I purchased more feeders: butter worms, wax worms, & Phoenix worms. He eats those and his meal worms again. So I guess he got bored. But he still won't eat crickets.

Recently I fed him on Wednesday. He ate 4 butter worms, one of them was pretty big. His temp on the warm side was at 91.4 degrees. Today I noticed he regurged 2 halves of a butter worm. Then I saw his temp dropped down to 88.1. I felt so bad. But he was walking around active acting normal. I'm assuming due to the temp drop or maybe he over ate that caused him to throw up.

Is there a protocol I have to follow like some reptiles? Thanks for your help!

the temp drop could have caused him to regurgitate food. have you raised the temps again? and has it happened since?

He most probably wont eat crickets because you are spoiling him and allowing him to become picky :p Iv been there and done that heehee
Leos will always prefer to eat the tastier foods like wax worms and butter worms, just like how kids would much rather have chocolate and sweets for dinner then real food.
use those kinds of foods as treat every now and then. Just use crickets for a few weeks he will eat when he gets hungry enough.

Yesh, chocolate for dinner. *nod nod* Just don't give him anything but crickets, he will eat them when he gets hungry. Just need to show them who's boss! hehehe

When my leo puked in her transport box on the train on her way back from a checkup at the animal hospital, I called the herp vet back in a panic because I had never seen it before...she said that sometimes they can get stressed or motion-sick and that is a common response to that; just leave them alone for a bit. If it happened a lot, though, like more than once a week I would call a vet.
