This is Jax. When I purchased him, I was told that he was a tangerine gecko. I've never seen a gecko with such a smooth tail and I've been looking everywhere on the internet. What kind of gecko has a tail like this? All of the tangerines that I've seen on this forum so far have had normal bumpy tails.

And by the way, if this is the wrong section for a question like this, then please feel free to move the thread. I apologize in advance!

Hi Amanda
Jax is a beautiful Tangerine with a fully regenerated tail

That is what they look like when the grow back and they are smooth rather than bumpy/ridged like the originals

That tail was completely broken off at the base of his body before you got him

He's sweet

the reason is that your gecko's tail is a regenerated tail, which means it's tail is a regrown-tail.
and the only reason for this is that your gecko once dropped its tail . but nevertheless still a healthy gecko you have :)
