Hello everyone, this is my first post as I just signed up today.

OK, this is the readers digest version of my (possible) problem--

My son asked for a leopard gecko, we did research, ordered the supplies, set up the tank, and ordered the geckos (they will be here next tuesday). I found this forum today and started reading and reading and reading and realized that I think our tank set up is all wrong, any comments and experience would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

It looks pretty good actually. :) Make sure you have a UTH and atleast one moist hide on or near the warm side of the tank. I keep the warm end of my leos' tanks between 90-95 and the cool end just room temperature. Also, (I can't see if you have one or not) but they will need a small dish of calcium powder left in the tank with them. Other than that I think your setup is pretty and your new leos will love it. Be sure to post pics when they arrive! :main_yes:

Thank You

I do have the moist hide right in front on the right, it is above the UTH. I have the dish for the calcium, just havent filled it yet because they aren't here yet. Also, one more question---Is it okay to put the worms and water upstairs??? or should they be on ground level?

If you can let us know what you think is wrong with it, maybe we can give you more feedback. There may be something that's a problem that we can't see.

the problem

I looked thru other photos and ours seems crowded and they will have to climb to eat.

Well then it looks like you're good to go, everything looks alright in the picture to me. :) I don't see a problem putting the worms or water upstairs as long as it's easy for them to get to it. Make sure the mealworms can't crawl out of the bowl though or itll be raining mealies on your leo's head lol.
