Is this legal?

One of my son's friends is a soldier in the Army on leave from Afghanistan. We were grateful that he got to spend Thanksgiving with us. Unfortunately he must return to Afghanistan soon. We were looking at my leos and I jokingly said, "When you get back there can you find me a couple leos?" He said they are all over the place and he would send me as many as I wanted. I'm pretty sure that wouldn't be a good idea but is it even legal? Just curious on your thoughts.

I don't believe it is illegal but I believe there is more to it than you are bargaining for. Its not a simple pack and ship. Also, not sure how fast shipping would be from Afghanistan. As well as parasite and health issues in wc geckos not being a fun task at all.

You would have to look at import and export laws. Plus they will more than likely not do well with shipping and have more chances of carrying diseases. Not really worth all the trouble even if you could do it.

Thanks Kelli. I figured it was. I just thought it was a bad idea due to various health issues. He did tell me that alot of guys in his unit kept them as pets over there. It was still cool to give a soldier a proper Thanksgiving dinner. It was probably the most "Grateful" Thanksgiving I've ever spent.
