I had my first leo (Vastervik) for only a short time now.

Throughout last night, he's been making these loud angry-sounding grunting noises. I was at first assuming it was from frustration since I got rid of the food bowl in order to better control his food intake. (He's at 86 grams and I was feeding him everyday...Vastervik does not need to get any fatter~!)

I'm not so sure about this theory rho. I can't see what he's doing when he making noise but when ever I try to catch him, he's always licking his lips. Any thoughts?

Don't know. If he's happy and healthy, don't worry. Never heard of anything like this. Maybe it's gecko grumbling.

We have one or more that likes to make those noises. I haven't been able to pin down who is doing it though. It's been several months that it's been going on. I haven't seen any animals do it. I'll hear the grunt come from a rack, but can't figure out which tub because it is so random. If I ever catch anyone in the act, I'll let you know what I find out. I just think it sounds funny. It reminds me of an old man trying to get out of a chair.
