OKay so i just wanted see how my Male and Female would get along or not... i think should research alittle better before doing this... So the male roamed around the cage while female in her hide.... she came out and licked his tail then went back in... he roamed around alittle more and then kept vibrating his tail .... then... he went up to her and licked her they they like licked eachothers faces like a kiss... then he basically bite her side... and was like Chewing at it... and i wasnt sure if this was normal and he was like locked on and she wasnt moving... i wasnt sure if this was normal thing or not... so i seperated them and now she just Hides in her hide in corrner with her face turned away from everyone... and hes like Roaming around divder trying figure away get through it..

basically wanting no if its normal how they were acting him chewing on her side... if it is ill take divder back out for awhile... but i just dont want her to basically get eatin by him... Hes a prooven breeder and shes not... never had clutch from her so i wasnt sure if it was normal for this... but it kinda scared me so i seperated and came on her to ask :)

Your male tried to mate with the female. If you hadn't separated them, you would have witnessed copulation.... Very cool to see! If the female doesn't resist the very first touch of the male, she is willing to mate, so it's a good thing!

It's only a good thing if you have an incubator set up and a place to house babies though! Yes, he was trying to mate with her. Never put a male and female together unless you're prepared for them to breed. It only takes the blink of an eye sometimes. I don't know how many "I put them together while I was cleaning and now I don't know what to do." posts I've seen here over the years.

Now just make sure you have a plan for how to house and find homes for the hatchlings! 1 female can produce anywhere from 8-20 babies per season easily.

Make sure if youre putting a male and female together that the female is big enough to mate, weight wise.
