My leopard gecko norbert recently hasnt even come out of his hide.. He hasnt eaten in about a week or so, I hav a red infared heat lamp on during the day, and the UTH running 24/7, is this normal in the winter time 4 leopard geckos?
Some geckos go through semi-hibernation called brumation. He may sleep a lot more than he used to, and eat half as much. If you notice him losing weight drastically or if his feces look smeary or too runny then you might have a problem. My Tiamat went into brumation last year when I first got her and she didn't eat much all winter but still gained weight so I assume their metabolism slows down a little as well.
This is also happening to my male. He stays hiding a lot but eats like 1 superworm a day. He has only gained like 1-2g this week as he stopped eating for a while. His tail is quite fat so im not too worried. Try to make his enclosure more fun. Today I added some stuff to climb to my tank and a little ladder so that my leo can climb from hide to hide etc.
