Is this ok?

Hi..i am new in keeping gecko..currently keeping 1 leopard gecko only..wanna ask something..in my leopard gecko enclose..i have a bowl tat with pure calsium tat available all the time..

besides..i am using electrolyte& vitamin D3 liquid supplement(by exo-terra)..so i use tis liquid supplement once a month isit ok??because i read some posts tat mention leopard gecko need small amount of vitamin D3 only..

so..pure calsium available all the time in his enclose..electrolyte& vitamin D3 liquid supplement once a month for him..is this sounds ok?

I tend to use a small amount in all their water -even the water I use to mist their moist hides with as they're more likely to lick the walls of it than to drink from the bowl. In my opinion, a little electrolyte and a little extra vitamin D3 won't hurt them. I usually give them a good dose of vitamin dusted insects once a month as well. The rest of the time, they get calcium dusted goodness.

I agree with Haligren that a little extra won't hurt them but I don't think it's necesary. My geckos drink filtered water, not tap, but that's as far as it goes. As for supplements, they have straight calcium in the tank at all times.... dust the crickets with straight most of the time, multi vitamin once a week or so and d3 once a month ish.

icic..thanks for the info..currently i only have pure calcium n the electrolyte& vitamin D3 liquid supplement only..will get 1multi vitamin supplement soon for him aso..

so multi vitamin once a week..electrolyte& vitamin D3 liquid supplement once a month..n pure calcium all the time..n aso dusted(calcium) prey for him..sounds good rite??
