My female raptor has recently lost interest in food and i notice this on her belly today. I have seen pics of ovulating females but this seems to be really dark to me but I dont know...

It is very hard to tell much of anything from these pictures. I will say that that dark spot is not an ovulation It is just hard to tell in the picture (not very clear) if what you are seeing is just organs or something else.
How old is the gecko? How long has it been since the gecko has eaten? Has she started loosing weight?

The resolution makes it difficult to ascertain whether she's ovulating. You mentioned that "it seems to be really dark." If your referring to the visilble dark spot in her belly, that's the spleen.

Ovulations are pink/white and not black. Its hard to see pink in those pictures but if that's a 4 inch round deli-container that you have your gecko in, she looks way too small to be ovulating or even thinking of breeding.

Here are a couple of ovulation pictures I just took of one of my females. They are not the best but hopefully you can see it ok. These are pretty large ovulations (about 1/2" in diameter) because she is pretty far along.

I agree. She looks way too small to be ovulating. My girl Ozy just had her first ovulation a couple of weeks ago and she's around 8 inches long, maybe a bit more. She hates to be handled, so I can't really measure her length.. :p

It is possible to have a female ovulate well under the recommended breeding size. I don't know how much this gecko weighs but I have had a female ovulate at 35 grams in the past. Needless to say she was not bred that season.

thanks guys, i was not planning on breeding her until next year. She has just not been eating the past week or so and I noticed that spot so was curious as to what it was. I will try to get better pictures posted soon

its odd though because she is still very active but just not interested in food which is what made me think it could be ovulation

She might be getting ready to ovulate. Even if ovulating it does not mean she's ready to be bred.
