Get home late last night, so I knew it was going to be rough waking up this morning. But, that wasn't it. First no email from the guy who wanted to pay yesterday for shipment today, so no shipping just yet, which isn't that big of a deal. But, now I HAVE to buy a new mini-fridge for my room. I had been looking a few months ago for one; I found an awesome deal that kept getting better every time I looked, as the price just kept dropping. The fridge had a dual door, so that the freezer section wasn't the teeny box inside the dorm-sized fridge, which was perfect for my frozen mice.

The last time I looked, the fridge had more than doubled in price. I look just now, and it's dropped but still just a little more than double than what it was.

Oh, I guess I forgot to say that the fridge in my room that I keep worms and food for the tortoises was heated up when I went in to get TNT to sprinkle over my tortoises food today.

I didn't even notice it at first. I opened the door, grabbed the TNT, and when I put my hands in to realize that it was hot, I realized something wasn't right. OPened the fridge again, and yep, there went the stench of 3000 dead mealworms and a cup of dead wigglers (for the frog) and heat coming out of the fridge. I just bought the worms like 2 weeks ago, and now I have to go back and replace them all. Luckily, I have crickets that will hold me over till next week after I get paid, but I'm not thrilled.

Now, when I get home, already tired, I have to clean and feed leopard geckos; dump all the dead worms outside; and make sure that the freezer section didn't defrost all over the floor. I didn't have time this morning to check on anything, but did see a small puddle when I moved the fridge to make sure I was unplugging the right thing.

This just better not be the start of a bad week. Last week started about like this, and it was bad. First, no work computer till Friday, as it died Monday; car had to get towed for steering wheel problems, which after tests turned up nothing was wrong; then had the first breakdown in months and nearly broke up with my boyfriend which is something I don't want to do. It was just a bad week, which is why I'm hoping this Monday isn't setting itself up to be like last week.

I have a followup appointment tomorrow for my respiratory blockage and chest pains. I assume nothing is bad because I haven't heard from the doctor about my tests 3 weeks ago. And, I have 3 midterms due this week. I'm really hoping this isn't going to be a bad week.

What's thrilling, is that when I get paid at the end of the week/next week, I have to immediately cut a check for like $600 for my car tag, $330 for my credit card, $$80+ for my Kohls card; save like $350-400 for Mia's vet trip July 9th, and hope that there's some left over that will 1) tied me over till the end of next month and 2) hope to have a little left over to pay on another credit card. What sucks is that I use my entire 15th paycheck to pay my car payment, as I am like the lowest paid person on the totem pole, yet I'm trained in like 3 or 4 departments and can do tons of different jobs. I get basically one check and my online revenue, which adds to about both my checks at my regular job.

Sorry for the long rant... It's just Monday!

Ooo and I had a chance to read my midterm for my world politics class... I'm not happy about that. It's two essay questions. One is easy, or it doesn't sound bad and the other... ay... C on question 3 is supposed to be a gimme, but I have no clue... Glad I have till the 26th to complete it.

Anyone know where I could start researching the below question?

For each of the following five areas, research online and provide international references as to which state ranks first or “best”, and which ranks last or “worst.” Be empirical - show the numbers. Also, cite your source(s) within each category, not at the end of your answer.
a. Freedom of the Press (Who better to ask than reporters themselves?)
b. Democracy (including percentage of states that are “democratic” - be careful and economic with the definition of democracy).
c. Non-military Per Capita Foreign Aid - which OECD donors give the most, which the least? (this one's a gimme)
d. Per capita income - (What international organization(s) follow(s) the money?)
e. Per capita bandwidth. (Which international organization would monitor this as part of its mandate?)

It's continuing.

Acura corporate just called and said they want my car back in the shop. Because of the seriousness of my complaint (see link below), they want to do more tests. They said they'd get someone different to run the tests versus just someone at that dealership, as a just in case. Kind of scary, but good that they're being extra cautious.

To add to the bad day
1) I thought I lost Carl yesterday, and gave up searching, but when I took the trash out last night, I took one last look, and he appeared dead center and very visible in the outside pen. I don't know where he was but he just reappeared half buried in the dirt.
2) The only KSB that I had eating regularly died out of the blue and unexpected. I have the one male that hasn't eaten since I've had him still alive. I don't know what's going on with them. I'm not having problems with any of my other snakes, just those.
