It's not a Leopard Gecko, but...

I know it isn't a Leopard Gecko, but I saw this lizard in my yard and LOVED the color. The picture doesn't do it justice. I was wondering if anyone had any clue about the type.

Where are you located? That could help us narrow it down :) I've seen lizards all over from Florida to California. It kind of has the general shape of an Anole...?

Looks like a type of anole but i could be wrong. the nose does look a little short for an anole...but its nice either way, good shot!

Sorry, guys. I live in Fort Myers, Florida. Yeah we have several anoles down here, I just have never really seen one with this bright of a color.

The short nose is because its a Bahama, or diamondback anole. They seem less stressed than the green/brown anoles in captivity. I personally wish I had room for a large group of them. I'd guess the one in the picture is a female.
