Alright, I've tried this on the crestie site but I figured it would be better to ask here.

I have a male leopard gecko I got from -insert name of place here XP- many months back that was supposed to be a juvie.

Sense there he has refused to eat more than maybe 1 cricket a week, only sleeps and has been using the fat in his tail sense I got him. He's only active when he comes out to poop, which is strange because he ears so little and yet he gives me at least 3 large normal poops a week.

He has grown NONE sense I got him but every once and a while he eats a cricket, he has to be cause they are going missing VERY slowly.

I've called our vet be he refuses to take/ look at any reptiles, and he's the only one in my area, and he won't even look at a stool to see if it's a bacteria infection or something that I can fix and get my little dude back on the ball.

He's wasting away and I'm not sure what to do, his temps are 80F on hot side and 70F on the cool side, he has a humid hide and a cool hide, food is ready and available running around the tank whenever he likes, i have a piece of catfood in there to keep them from nibbling on my gecko.

I have tried the slurry suggested here and it gave my leo runny poops. So I am currently trying reptiaid by flukers (carnivore type) and some baby food for the fat content every other day.

When he is not pooping normal poops i get white stuff that comes right after watery poop.

this is all I got to go by, Grande has never acted normal sense I got him and I'm wondering if he was doomed from the start. *sigh*

But if anyone has any advice I'd love to hear it.

If your wondering age, I was told Juvie when I got him, and I've had him maybe 4-5 months.

It sounds like your temperature on the hot side might be to blame. Bump it from 80 to 92 and his appetite should pick up and solve your problem if there are no other medical issues going on. I would also only offer a couple of crickets at a time. Having crickets running around the tank can add to a gecko's stress level. That way you also won't need to give the crickets cat food - here's a current thread that discusses that at the end.

After you bump up the temp like Mel&Keith have said try to offer him other food. Try some mealworms and/or waxworms (if he eats the waxworms they will help fatten him up since they are high in fat content)

Alright I'll try bumping up the heat by 10 degrees and at most I have is about 5 crix in the tank at one time, I only leave them in there because i can never tell when he wants to eat or not, I've tried a schedule but it only stress him out.

I'll replace the catfood with a carrot, i only have the catfood in because it keeps the crickets distracted from nomming on my little guy.
