So I have been researching phoenix worms and they sound pretty awesome. They have a much higher nutritional value than mealworms or crickets. They don't require food, just a few drops of water every once in a while and they don't smell, make noise, or escape. They have a great shelf life as well at room temperature. They also come in different sizes for all reptiles. They do not carry bacterial diseases as well. Their prices are a little higher than crickets and mealies but I think they pay for themselves because there is not much upkeep and because they are so nutritious there is really no need to dust them. The only negative I could find about phoenix worms was that they are kinda hard to find in bulk quantities.
My questions are as follows:
Would there be any negative effect in using phoenix worms as a staple food in my geckos diet?
Since they have so much calcium is it possible for my geckos to overdose on calcium if they were eating them everyday?
Any opinions are welcome! Thanks! :main_thumbsup:
