Well, for an early 18th birthday present, Jake got his first tattoo.
His favorite; Spiderman.

This is Frank from "House of Ink" in Tampa, just starting to work on Jake.

This is the face Jake made when he realized that needles kinda hurt a little!
A "girl-like" noise came from him when he made this face.

On his actual birthday, he gets luggage! :D

Thanks for looking!

LOL... Yeah. Tampa is about 80 miles from here and he comes down this way every couple weeks to visit family and such.
Frank is such a nice guy and does excellent work. He's working on a snake sleeve for me that I can't wait for him to start!:D (Full sleeve ball python that looks just like my Maya!)
Jake may have complained about how bad it hurt, but he's already got plans for a second one.:main_rolleyes:
Dang things are addicting!

lol congrats .. yeah tats can be addictive. Just need to make sure its something you are 1000000% sure one wants permanently etched on ones skin. My fiance an I both have tattoos that we both regret/dislike and are planning on going together to get them fixed up.

/sigh .. in most cases tattoo places are supposed to turn away anyone that is apparently drunk but this was done when I was in service and I think they let it slide because of that ... ugghh...

Thanks.
He wants the black spiderman on the other leg. He said it would be more "asthetically balanced and represent the constant battle between good and evil."
He's trying to sell ice cubes to eskimos, I think. :main_rolleyes:

I think it's great that you guys are so supportive. My parents would rather not see most of mine.

I'm afraid if we ever have children we won't be able to put up much of an argument either! I think my most motherly advise would be to get a good job because tattoos can get expensive. Ha!

So does he have an appointment for the other leg yet? :main_laugh:

Oh no! He ain't getting another one until I get my snake sleeve! I've been waiting too long for that one! :D
I was raised by a bonafide "flower child" hippy mom, so encouraging creativity and expression has always been a big thing around here. His guidelines are: Nothing below the elbow or above the collar and no scratch work. Only good artists. I used to work in a tattoo shop, so he's learned about the importance of cleanliness and sterilization, as well as being patient to find the right artist.:main_thumbsup:
