Jeff - NCReptiles... flake!

[Golden Gate Geckos]

I posted an ad on KS for 1.1.2 Coleonyx variegatus bogerti (Tucson Banded Geckos) last weekend, and I immediately got a reply from Jeff @ NCReptiles telling me he wanted all 4 of them, and asking where to send the money order. I replied with my address, and after 4 days I contacted him via email to inquire about the status of his payment, and still have not heard from him. My TERMS clearly state that I will only hold geckos for 72 hours pending payment via USPS Priority Mail. I have a waiting list for these geckos, and have no alternative but to sell them to the next person in line.

If you ever get a response from Jeff in regard to any reptiles you have for sale, this is a 'heads-up' to aks for immediate payment.

Hello Jeff,

I am checking on the status of your payment for the Banded Geckos. Can you please let me know if it has been sent, and if so when I can expect to receive it? I have a waiting list for these bandeds, and the hold time has already passed the 72 hour hold period per my TERMS, and there is smoke coming out of my email, LOL!

I have not received the money order for the banded geckos I had for sale on KS, nor have I heard back from you in response to my last email inquiring about the status of your payment... so I have sold the geckos to the first person on my waiting list for them.

In the future, the professional courtesy to either pay or cancel the sale would be greatly appreciated.

Am I being to impatient? I really don't understand why people can't be straight up when is comes to transactions like this... oh well, I'll never take this guy seriously if we ever cross paths in the future.

He didn't reply to your email and if he had replied and let you know what was going on or that he needed more time Im sure it would have worked out for both of you.

I don't see a date for the message you sent. But I'm guessing if your posting it here, You have givin him more then enough time to respond. Do you have an option on your email to check the status of an email to see if it has been read yet? If he read it and did not respond, then I would just go ahead and sell them to someone else. If you happen to get his money order in the mean time, you can always just refund his money and tell him "Hey, you diddn't respond, I only hold for 72 hours, I thought you wern't sending it."

I don't think you are being too impatient. Heck, I just held a gecko for 10 days and the person decided not to buy her. I have decided to have a certain amount of days that I will only hold geckos for. This isn't the first time this has happened to me, but it will be the last.
