Just an update and color comparison on Zaira

She hasn't been regurgitating any more of her meals since I switched her to solid food. Her urates is finally solid, but the rest of her poop is still watery. The color is better, though.

She has lost some weight, about a gram, since I got her a week ago. But she did shed today. I was hoping that a shed would brighten some of her colors. Idk if it did. What do you think?

I wish the lighting wasn't so different in every single picture I have of her. It makes the color comparison really really hard to tell. But I think her colors may have gotten a little brighter...

Great to hear that she's on solids!

I do think she's lightened up a bit. She looks almost dirty in the pre shed pictures.

She was 22g when I got her 8 days ago. She's now down to 19.1g and she regurgitated her food last night on top of it. I'm worried about the girl..

Are gravid females known to lose weight if they don't get enough to eat? I'd thought they'd be gaining weight..but a friend of mine suggested she might be losing weight because she's not getting enough food

I would go back to the hand feeding.
At least she's getting something into her that way.
Make it really mushy and maybe remove as much of the mealie outer layer to aid digestion?

Her already pencil-thin tail is thinner. Her abdomen is starting to cave in. Good news is she absorbed the eggs she was carrying. Bad news is, I don't think that'll save her.

I've got my fingers crossed, but I don't think she'll last much longer.

If she's okay with you handling her I would give her lots of smaller feedings mixed with jump start and a bit of water (like 0.1cc) to try and maintain her energy levels.
Now she has absorbed the eggs hopefully she will regain her appetite.
