Just got a gecko :)

Well I got a leopard gecko today! She's a girl, and I named her Leila. She's really active and she had just had a molt (a little bit of skin was still on her face when I got her, but she got it off already).

I took a picture when she was exploring her new home.

I got her from a little private Aquarium/Terrarium store. I usually go there for my pond Koi; the owners are so passionate about what they sell. It's a little over-priced, but I'd shop there over petco, any day lol.

Very nice looking gecko! i know you are proud I got one of mine from a big chain store love her to death no probs but my new one came from my local small exotic pet store and I love them they even showed me their quarantine areas and I wish I would have thought to ask them to order a Leo a long time ago!

Yeah, I used to get my pets from chains stores since they're cheap and such, but after I got some sick birds, I usually just buy from breeders. But the place I got Leila is so great, they usually breed their animals themselves and they take great care of them. The lady was so excited to show me some newly hatched blue lobster babies when I was there, lol.
