Just got back from the vet with Aramni

this vet Actually knew something



gave her a checkup and took her weight 35g


checked for parasites and worms didnt see anything


he gave her 1cc of panacur to be safe and 3 ccs of a/d (protien baised paste i guess)


have a appt next week same time for a weigh in and to give her another 3 ccs of a/d


he said this "paste" is like her eating 30 or so mealworms so lets see what happens

and he also said next week there is not a charge expect 10.00 for the feeding and for the 1cc of the panacur

1 cc of panacur (1cc = 1ml)? That sounds a lot! I remember when I gave my 100g geckos panacur, it was approximately 0.05 ml only.

Well i "bothered" her to clean the tanks and put in a super worm she really didnt know what to make of it and all but after a few mins she ATE it

you dot know happy i was when i saw her eat that thing this might be the turning point

Could you tell me how much Armani weighs? My vet said to give my two bigger gals (106 grams and 118 grams) 0.1cc and I thought that was a lot too! It was 50% suspension panacur, and I remember giving that to my horses.

Panacur is a very safe medication. The dose for this medication is 25-50 mg per kilogram of body weight. So, a 35 gram gecko is .035 kg in weight.

To calculate the correct dosage, you multiply dose (25-50mg) X weight (.035) and then divide that number by the concentration of the medication. So, if the concentration is 50%, the correct dose would be .0175 - .03 cc (ml).

Sounds like she is on the road to recovery now. A/D is Hill's Science Diet canned dog/cat food. All our cats eat Science Diet dry cat food.
